On Monday each class from year 1 to year 6 made the annual trip to St. Giles for our Christmas services.

Historically, this has also been affectionately known as ‘bring Ickenham traffic to a standstill’ day but this year we managed to get over 500 children (albeit in 3 separate trips) across the roads at the busy Swakeleys Road junction without being hooted at by impatient drivers!

Once inside the church, the children sang some traditional Christmas hymns and a couple of more modern classics and individuals from the various year groups read poems and prayers they had written.

Rev. Christine Britton welcomed us all and talked to us about how all the characters within the Christmas story play a key role but asked us to consider who is the most important and why. The answer surprised some of us.
